A product design project at L’école de design de Nantes Atlantique (EDNA), 2007
This was completed during my first year design course at EDNA. At the beginning of this assignment, I started contemplating on how lamps and their shapes could help enriching the users daily life. As an avid reader myself, I focused on creating a reading lamp that switches off itself when the book is placed on the lamp. When the book is removed from the lamp, it switches back on to light up the environment. This system can also be served as a bookmark.
The lamp was built out of thermoformed plastic.
